Convert WPS files
Microsoft has a viewer for WPS files (Works 6.0 & Works 7.0).

It will let you view and print, but not edit the content.
So open the file and Select All (File Menu, Select All).
Then open a new Word or OpenOffice document and paste (File Menu, Paste) the content into the new document.
This program also converts WordPerfect and XML files.
